While ex-fire inspector Darren McCord (Jean-Claude Van Damme) is enjoying the final game of the Stanley Cup hockey championships, a deranged terrorist (Powers Boothe) is holding the vice president (Raymond Barry) hostage in his luxury box. When the terrorist abducts McCord's child, the ex-fireman discovers the madman's plan to blow up the packed arena if he doesn't get his money.
